The Magical Secrets of Okra Stew
Simple yet full of mystery
First of all, for this stew to become rich and thick, you need to use more onions than in other stews.
Chop 3 medium onions and fry them in oil.
Once the onions are sautéed, add the meat and fry it with the onions.
Add salt to taste,
1 teaspoon of ground cumin,
a little ground coriander,
then add 2 tablespoons of tomato paste, mix everything, and sauté it well.
After that, add dried limes and cover the pot to let the meat cook.
Wash the okra – I used frozen okra, but you can definitely use fresh if you prefer.
Once the meat is cooked, add the okra to the stew.

Do not stir the stew at all while it simmers and thickens – this helps preserve the okra’s shape and texture.
After about 20 minutes, your stew is ready.
